Privacy Policy
Last updated: 13 September 2026
JLPT-GO ("the app") respects your privacy and protects your personal data.
1. What we collect
- Account information: the email address you sign up with. If you sign in with Google, the email address and public profile information from your Google account.
- Study data: which mock exams you took, your answer to each question and whether it was correct, time spent, the questions you missed, your target level, and your display language.
- Usage records: records of actions such as signing up, starting and finishing a mock exam, and opening explanations, with the time they happened and your target level.
We do not collect your name, address, phone number, date of birth, or payment details.
2. Why we use it
- To identify and authenticate your account
- To show your results and explanations, and to bring back questions you missed
- To investigate faults and improve the app
- To count how much each feature is used
We do not share your data with third parties for advertising.
3. Third parties
We do not disclose your data to third parties except where the law requires it. We do use the following services to run the app, and their privacy policies apply.
- Supabase: authentication and database (servers in Singapore) (privacy policy)
- Google: Google sign-in, app distribution, and website hosting (privacy policy)
Questions and explanations are written in advance and bundled with the app. Nothing you answer is sent to an external AI service while you use it.
4. Where it is stored
Study data and usage records are stored on Supabase. A mock exam in progress is also held on your device so you can keep going without a connection.
5. Your rights
- You can delete your account from the My Page screen in the app.
- Deleting your account removes your account information and study data.
- Usage records (the third item in section 1) are kept, along with an internal identifier, so that we can keep aggregate statistics. They contain no email address or name. If you want these removed as well, contact us using section 6.
- You may ask us to disclose, correct, delete, or stop using your data. We accept these requests from people in the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom on the same terms. We respond within 30 days once we have confirmed your identity.
6. Contact

7. Children
If you are under 13, please use the app with the consent of a parent or guardian.
8. Changes to this policy
